Free Air Temperature Enrichment (FATE) was developed to artificially induced canopy temperature in open field conditions without the use of enclosures. The FATE system simulates global warming in small ecosystem of limited height with the infirmity of the thermal radiation and canopy temperature across the plot.

FATE SYSTEM IS based on series of micro-computer control systems for effective control of temperature and CO2 concentration. An engineering analysis of these technical advances GIVE more realistic and cost effective methods for elevating temperature in open-air. These technologies ARE THE window OF likely future ecosystem function in a CO2 enriched warmer world.
